French Health Ministry said they would ask the women who perform breast augmentation with silicone implants to remove the implants and was likely to cause cancer.

Poly Implant Implant Prothese production (PIP) which is used in France, and probably also many other countries due to be exported, last year found using low-quality silicone gel material which is a carcinogen and is also prone to rupture.
"Production of PIP implants should be removed. All of the women who use these implants must meet their surgeon as soon as possible," said Valerie Pecresse government spokesman in an interview with French television.
The results of investigation of the French association of plastic surgeons in 2010 found the PIP implants rupture more easily than others and silicone implants are used not for medical use. Price implant is also the most expensive on the market.
Silicone breast implants were first introduced in 1962. Since then the safety of these implants continues studied.
In the 1980's the popularity of breast enlargement with implants increased rapidly, accompanied by health risks. Quite a few experts who claim a link between silicone gel with increased risk of immunological diseases such as lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, fibromyalgia, and other diseases.
Some women who wear silicone implants also reported their health symptoms disappeared after the implants removed. Some also choose to sue the manufacturer of implants for illnesses they suffered.
Because there is no scientific evidence that strongly about the safety of silicone implants, in 1992 the U.S. drug regulatory agency (FDA) stated that breast augmentation with silicone implants are only allowed in the women who perform breast reconstruction after breast cancer surgery.
Since then a 14-year-old woman who is only interested in raising breast using breast implants containing sterile saline or salt water.
New in 2006 the FDA declared silicone implants safe. The decision was based on research for 14 years found no association between this disease and silicone implants. Yet the FDA ordered two manufacturers of silicone implants to examine the security of its products to 10 years.
Silicone implants are basically fairly safe as long as the materials used in accordance with medical safety standards. What is prohibited is the injection of liquid silicone injected into the breast because it can lead to infection and difficult to lift.
