2 Employees House Stuck in Elevator

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - House of Representatives Two employees were trapped inside the elevator for about 15 minutes in the Nusantara Building III of the House, Monday (24/10/2011) morning.

Incident began when they both went down from 8 floors to the ground floor using the elevator on the left. In the building there are four elevators. Actually, that is used both elevators were experiencing technical problems.

On the ground floor, the officer had put a notice that reads "Sorry for the elevator There Disorders". "I think baseball mounted on the top floor of the notice," said one security officer in or Pamdal.

Entrapped men and women were known after the alarm sounded. About four officers last Pamdal busy calming both via the sidelines of the elevator door. "In a minute Mom, do not panic. Again we try," said the officer after the mother banging on the elevator.

Weird Creatures Found in the Mariana Trench

NOAA Xenophyophore are single-celled animals called Protists. They are found on the ocean floor.



KOMPAS.com - Scientists from the Scripps Institute of Oceanography at the University of California San Diego found a strange creature living in the Mariana Trench, the deepest ocean on Earth. Strange living creatures in the form of a giant amoeba, scientifically called xenophyophores, found at a depth of about 10.5 km below sea level.

"Amoeba's awesome giant can adapt very well in extreme environments, but at the same time very vulnerable and not much studied," says Lisa Levin, a biologist who is also Director of the Deep Sea Scripps Center for Marine Biodiversity and Conservation.

Levin explains, xenophyophores is one of the greatest individual single cell, can sometimes grow to 10 cm. Recent studies indicate, by trapping the particles in water, xenophyophores can accumulate lead, uranium, and mercury that is considered resistant to heavy metals.

Known, it is suitable xenophyophores live in a dark, cold, and high pressure as in the depths of the ocean. "Identification of giant cells in the deepest marine environment opens up new habitats for the study of biodiversity and adaptation to extreme environments," said Levin, as quoted by FoxNews, Friday (10/21/2011).

To be able to find this living, working with Eric Levin and Graham Berkenpas Wilhelm, inaccessible area imaging engineers from the National Geographic Society. They use equipment called "dropcams", consisting of HD cameras and lights inside the glass material. This equipment is able to survive in the marine environment of high pressure.
